Antigo Area Community Food Pantry May 18thth 11am-1pm (Wed.) & 20 Mayth 1:00pm-3:00pm (Fri.), 2120 Progress Blvd., Antigo (715) 623-1103. We ask all people wishing to use the Food Pantry to wait in cars or outside and a volunteer will provide instructions on the service. Our monthly fundraising focus for May will be personal care items: shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothpaste, dental floss, deodorant, feminine hygiene products. Elcho Area Community Food Pantry May 16thth & 23. Mayapprox 14:30-16:30 (Mon), 18 Mayth 4pm-6pm (Wednesday), 11224 Antigo St., Elcho. Individuals are given a food checklist and can indicate their choices and then submit the list. Food will be distributed based on availability and number of family members. Summer at Northwoods Art Show & Sale May 11thth – 10.8th AVA Art Gallery, Langlade County Historical Society, 404 Superior St., Antigo. Bike ride for women on Monday May 16thth & 23. Mayapprox 5:30-7:30 p.m. Aspiras Langlade Hospital, 112 E. 5th Avenue, Antigo. Riding a bike with others? Maybe we have a group for you! Rides usually meet at 5:30pm at Aspirus Hospital car park “F”. This is behind St Joseph’s Annex, east of Langlade Road. They meet once a month at a different location in the county (underlined dates below). The alternative trips start at 5:45 p.m. Please email Mary Jo Filbrandt for directions and a route for these alternative rides. There will be groups with a 10-15 mile route and a 20-25 mile route. A bike helmet is required. MAY: (16th Route 8) (23rd Route 9) (Memorial Day 30th – NO RIDE). Bike tour in the Wednesday group May 18thth 4:00 p.m. Langlade County Courthouse, 800 Clermont St., Antigo. The bike group meets on Wednesdays in the parking lot of the Langlade County Courthouse. The ride departs at 4:00 PM and usually returns around 6:30 PM. The routes are determined by the weather and the participants. The length of the ride is approximately 30-40 miles. Assembly station for car seats May 18thth 4-6 p.m. Antigo Fire Department, 700 Edison St., Antigo. Free assembly station on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Antigo City Fire Department. Car seat technicians are available to help you install your child’s car seat. Wolf River Chapter of Trout Unlimited Meet & Greet May 21stSt 8-9 a.m. Bear Paw Outdoor Advertising Center, N3494 Hwy. 55, White Lake. Fish the mighty Wolf River with experienced Wolf River Chapter anglers. The group first meets at Bear Paw Outdoor Adventure Resort, followed by a fishing trip in the river. Later, the group will have lunch at a residence on the Wolf River. Then experience the late afternoon hatch on the river for more exciting fishing! Wolfman Woman’s Bike Clinic May 21stSt 9am-1pm Nicolet Roche Trailhead, Campground Dr., White Lake. Would you like to improve your mountain biking skills or just learn? Val Foley, a BICP Level 1 & PMBI Level 1 Mountain Bike Coach and Wolfman Medalist, will lead the Wolfman Woman’s Bike Clinic. She will go through the fundamentals, techniques and conquering of the Wolfman wheel course. The cost of the event is purely donations benefiting Little Bella’s mountain bike organization. Do a Swing Out of Crime golf tournament May 21stSt 11:30am Bass Lake Country Club, W10650 Bass Lake Road, Deerbrook. This is a 4 person scramble with prizes on every hole! Registration begins at 11:30am with a shotgun start at 1:00pm. Cost of 18 hole golf course with cart and prizes. The cost is $100 for non-members and $50 for members.
