Headlines – Virtual support groups for family carers are offered

Annapolis, MD (28.09.2021) – The virtual self-help groups for caregivers take place via the Zoom platform; You can log in using your computer or listen over the phone.

The self-help groups meet on October 13th (1: 00-2: 30 pm) and October 19 (1: 00-2: 30 pm). To receive the Zoom login link, please send an email [email protected] or call 410-222-4339.

While we plan to be together in person soon, we hope the virtual format provides family caregivers with support and connection with one another. We understand that this is a challenging time for all of us and especially for the caregivers, so please try to join us.

Caregivers who live or care for someone in Anne Arundel County are also invited to join our Facebook support group page. We hope this gives you the opportunity to network with each other, share your concerns and experiences, and hopefully have a laugh between meetings. For those of you who are unable to attend the day sessions due to work schedules or other obligations, this format gives you the opportunity to exchange ideas with and support other supervisors. You can find the group on Facebook.com/ArundelSeniors.

Anyone in need of accommodation must contact Mary Chaput at 410-222-4339 or email at [email protected] at least seven days before the event. TTY users should call Maryland Relay 7-1-1. All materials are available in an alternative format upon request.
