Birmingham, AL, July 1, 2021 – (PR.com) – Talibah Bayles, Founder and CEO of TMB Tax & Financial Services, has been selected as a member of the 2021 Class of 2021 Small Business Administration (SBA) Emerging Leader program.
The SBA Emerging Leaders Initiative is a federal education initiative specifically focused on executives of companies looking to grow in historically troubled communities. The E200-Birmingham initiative provides these leaders with the organizational framework, resource network and motivation needed to build sustainable businesses and promote economic development in urban communities.
“I am proud of the success of emerging leaders to date and the impact the training has taken in promoting small businesses from across the country to the next level,” said Allen Gutierrez, associate administrator of the SBA’s Office of Entrepreneurial Development. “As small businesses recover from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, SBA will continue to allocate vital resources to help businesses get even stronger and return to prosperity. Since its inception in 2008, Emerging Leaders has trained more than 4,000 small business owners, created over 7,000 jobs, generated over $ 500 million in new funding, and secured over $ 4 billion in government contracts. “
“Exciting is an understatement,” says Bayles. “Being a member of this prestigious group of business owners is a personal reward for the hard work and dedication I have put into my business over the past year. Despite the pandemic, our company performed strongly economically and exceeded our earnings forecasts by 40%. Not only will our company benefit from the curriculum in this program; But most importantly, the knowledge we will learn will enable us to continue empowering the minority women and business owners who operate. “
