Western State Hospital Christmas Campaign underway

Community help is needed as Western State Hospital in Hopkinsville begins preparations for Christmas activities that will benefit the hospital’s patients and residents of the Western State Nursing Facility.

Community Services Coordinator Tony Winfield of Western State Hospital says individuals, groups, and businesses can participate in a variety of ways, including providing gifts to men and women ages 18 and older. He suggested some gift items, including toiletries, knitted hats and gloves, crossword and word search books, playing cards, composition books, and socks.

Another way to participate is by donating to purchase additional gifts and use them for special occasions and occasions throughout the year.

Finally, individuals, groups, and corporations can sponsor a party for a unit of 15 patients, typically around $ 150.00, to purchase refreshments and treats.

Winfield says your support will help make the holidays a little brighter for patients and residents.
